Good news, gentlemen(and ladies), I can hardly contain myself and about ready to have an erection. My PSA test was fine and I dont recall the number on that one but the low testosterone blood check was anything but low. Now guys, here is what I’d like to know. My testosterone count was in the 749/750 range. I understand that to be nanograms/whatever. So I still have my manhood. What I’d like to know and maybe I’d answer my own question. Why do I need to take Viagra if I still have plenty of manhood. It is just my penis cant keep it hard long enough. I am not dripping any semen before hand so no pre-ejaculation. I did not have to drop my pants for anything. I am still keeping minimal pubic hair for that odor control. I did not know how to approach the doctor on this. Surely, guys, there must be some of you out there that trim your hair. And, yes, I DO WASH DOWN THERE. I am going out of town next week but I would like some input on should I take it or not. If you want to leave a private email, that is fine too. And to the dads out there, Happy Fathers Day, and if you’ve got teen age sons/grandsons, tell about doing a testicle self exam. You want to protect your manhood.

Price of Viagra and Testosterone patches
I use both Viagra and T-patches. My insurance subsidy has decreased as of May 1. I once paid 44 cents for each T-patch; now the price is 83 cents. I once paid $1.67 per Viagra tablet; now I must pay $3.13. Despite the higher copayments, the amount paid remains a fairly small fraction of the market price. Have any others had such increases in prices for these two products?
As far as Viagra side affects
the medication does swell my sinuses and gives me a mild migraine headache. Tylenol will usually fix this. Like nearly everyone else, it works in about 30 minutes for me, but I can become more normal and have more spontaneous control after about four hours. There is also impact during the next twelve hours. My worst side efect is shortness of breath. After taking the pills for the first few times years ago, it seemed like there was some permanent lung damage. I never got my breathing back right. As far as physical shape, I became a karate champion, placed first and second place for two consecutive years in national competition. I started this even after I contracted E.D. I hoped that this exercise would help, but it has made no difference. This was before Viagra became available in Mississippi, where I live. I worked out in the gym — weights and treadmill, amino acid supplements, B vitamins, kick boxing aerobics. None of this help. Formerly, when I got really worked up and super-hard, one testicle would retract up inside me. The doctors did not think that this situation contributes to my E.D. However, I believe that this is a contributing factor to E.D. I am a truck driver, and I do have some minor back pain up the middle of my back. I sleep in my truck quite a lot. I also also hold my urine for long periods during sleep, and I have wondered if this could be a factor in E.D. I also do not have as much seminal fulid as I once did. I have had some problems over the years with chronic urinary tract infections. I learned years ago that caffeine, asprin, or B.C. headache powder, when overused, can cause E.D. This is my sexual history. I was a sexaholic before this happened to me, Yes, I am negative for any STDs. That’s the first thing the urologist checked.
depressing
man i came here hoping to find answers, the only answer i found is there isnt any answers and dont sound like theres much hope, guess the good life is gone forever.you know all the miracle surgeries doctors perform ,heart, sex change, heck they can even re atatch amputated limbs, looks like they could do more to cure this problem.i dont think they do enough research on this subject, insurances try to avoid paying.funding seems to be hard no pun intended to get,yet this has a very real impact on our mental and physical aspects,it deminishes the quality of life greatly.i hate the fact that my life is over at 45,i am bascily dead at 45,at least as far as my sex or love life is concerned.woman just arnt goin to understand or tollerate the inconvienience, they want spontanious, heated, hard, they also get in there head if your taking a pill to get an erection, its not them that gets you turned on its the pill.they also dont kid yourselves loose respect for you as man.they cant brag to thier girl friends how good thier man is in bed anymore.well you all know.yeah im freaking out.but the real truth is this is only going to get worse.it will never get better.my as well pull the damn trigger and get it over with.thanks for letting me pound this out.
Protein deficiency may be part of E.D. problems.
I got some advice for someone in this group that may help. I had a protein defiency. I read some information about protein and amino acids. I was using Viagra but it would work sometimes and not other times. I am using a protein supplement to get 40 grams of protein per day; one’s body needs a minimum of 50 grams. I have been on this for about three weeks. It has help with hard-ons and sex. I have been able to have sex and maintain a hard on without the use of Viagra. Not saying it a cure for everyone, but someone in this group suggested it, and I read about protein first and then tried it out and it has worked for me.
Anyone heard of this natural product Noni or Nonee
I still have my prescription for viagra but I see from the literature about the side effects and I dont want to go through with what has been noted. A gentleman I talked to just a few days ago told me about a natural herbal product Noni or whatever the spelling is. Please tell me if this is good or bad or whatever. Something still bugs me and that I thought I would at least get some of this pill to try. But this urologist did not give me any. Do you have to ask first.
Apology from Doctors
Well, I am a doctor and I’m sorry to hear that my profession is letting everyone down so terribly. I’m a neurologist by trade and joined this forum several years ago when I was having some E.D. difficulties myself (you can wish that upon your arrogant doctors). Anyway, the reason people think ED is vascular and not neurologic is because the nerves that supply the penis do not regulate whether they get erect or not. Erection is a ‘parasympathetic’ process while orgasm is a ‘sympathetic’ process. But these parasympathetic nerves not only supply your penis, but also your bladder, bowels, blood vessels and other organs. If there was something seriously wrong with this system, there would be a lot of other stuff happening. For example, there are patients with spinal cord injuries that have serious and significant parasympathetic nerve problems that lead to blood pressure surges, loss of blood pressure, constipation, diarrhea (usually a lot worse than garden variety problems with this). However, the erection itself is usually mediated by vascular tissues. Small valves stop the venous outflow of blood from the penis, the penis engorges with blood leading to an erection. Viagra works through nitric oxide release. Nitric oxide is a vasodilator (dilates blood vessels) and that’s what can cause headaches, nasal congestion and facial flushing with Viagra. But, in the penis, while it does dilate the veins, it also helps the outflow parts of the vein to close and thereby cause an erection. The mechanism of closing the outflow tracts, in otherwords, is very sensitive to nitric oxide. Arginine is the molecular precursor to nitric oxide and this amino acid can be converted into nitric oxide. But, the majority of us have plenty of this amino acid around and I believe, though not from research or studies or personal experience, that there are very few people that are arginine deficient and therefore would be helped by supplementation. Nevertheless, it is the precursor to nitric oxide in the metabolic pathway. Nitric oxide itself should never be inhaled to get it into the blood stream. It should be released from the arginine form in your cells. Erectile dysfunction can be from many different things. Worst of all, it can start as something medical or minor (I don’t know about 85% being medical that seems high) and end up being psychological where your brain keeps getting worried about having problems with an erection and then, of course, you can’t get one. As for me, I found that standard doses of Viagra gave me terrible nasal stuffiness and headache. I had to cut back to about 25 mgs. But I also found that it worked, for me, for up to twelve hours. In fact, I like to take mine several hours before intercourse (right after dinner). It doesn’t seem to work for me in the first 30 minutes as well as it does at three or four hours and I can tolerate the side effects better when I’m not in the actual act of intercourse. I also have worked out a lot of issues with my wife which were screwing with my head and this has helped a lot. About once in every three times we have sex, we don’t use the Viagra and the majority (but not all) of those times, things work out okay. But, I haven’t managed to give up the Viagra altogether and I doubt I ever will. Regardless, I sincerely apologize for the way some of you have been treated by your doctors. As a doctor myself, this experience has changed the way I treat my own patients and how I deal with their problems and issues. I was never as rude as some of your experiences but I also was too uncomfortable with the topic to take these matters seriosuly with my patients. I hope that I’m a better doctor for having been through this though I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. Let me know if you have any specific medical questions that I can answer and I’ll try to check this group more often than I have been
